Old Farms Skiers – Guest Policy

Each skiing member is allowed to have Guests ski at the pond.

A skiing member must be present at the pond when their Guest skis.

The Guest skis in the place of the skiing member in the normal skiing rotation and in the time period when the skiing member normally skis.  In most instances, the member and his or her Guest will not ski consecutively.  The member skis and then the Guest waits until it is the member's turn to ski again (or the Guest skis and the member waits).

Each skiing member is allowed a total of 3 guest SETS – immediate family members or other guests – for which the only charge is the normal fee for ski rides.

For the 4th and subsequent guest SETS attributable to each skiing member, guests who are members of the skier's immediate family pay the normal fees for ski rides.

For the 4th and subsequent guest SETS attributable to each skiing member, guests who are not members of the skier's immediate family pay $30 per SET, which includes the normal fees for ski rides.

Guests pay $30 per SET (non family members) if the skiing member has had 3 previous guest SETS.  Also, guests pay $30 per SET (non family members) if the guest has skied 3 previous guest sets.  Guests cannot avoid the $30 per SET (non family members) fees by skiing as a guest with different skiing members.

There is no limit on the number of sets that a guest can ski during the skiing season.  However, it is expected that each skier who skis regularly at the Pond will have a membership of his/her own.  Family members who ski multiple sets per day or multiple days per week are not allowed to share a membership by using the Guest Policy.  The Guest Policy as it pertains to family members is intended to accommodate members of the skier’s family who might ski once a week or a couple of sets on the weekend (or less).

For purposes of this policy, members of a skier's immediate family include parents, spouses, significant others, siblings, children and grandchildren.

Guest sets are recorded by Guest name and member name in the log book used to record all sets skied.

Only skiing members and members of the skier’s immediate family are allowed to drive the club owned boats.  Guests are not allowed to drive the club owned boats except that Guests who are Certified USA Water Ski Drivers are allowed to drive the club owned boats.  No one under the age of 16 is allowed to drive the club owned boats.

Everyone who skis or participates in any way (riding in the boat, helping on the dock) – skiing members, family members and guests – must be an Active (Insured) member of USA Water Ski.

This policy is subject to review and modification at any time as needed and as determined and approved by the members of the Old Farms Skiers Water Ski Club.
